NEARENCE COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

Effective Date: August 8, 2026

Nearence is an 18+ social, dating, hookup, and event-discovery community operated by Appertini LLC.

Nearence is intended to help adults find people, conversations, connections, and things happening around them.

Being adult-friendly does not mean anything goes.

These Guidelines explain the basic standards for participating in Nearence.

Adults Only

You must be 18 or older to use Nearence.

Do not create an account if you are under 18.

Do not create profiles for minors, upload sexualized images of minors, seek sexual contact with minors, or use Nearence to facilitate any sexual exploitation of a minor.

Suspected underage accounts may be immediately suspended while investigated.

Be Real

Don’t impersonate another person or materially misrepresent who you are.

Don’t use another person’s photos without permission.

Don’t create accounts designed to deceive, scam, manipulate, or defraud other users.

Profile verification, where offered, is a safety tool and not a guarantee that a person is safe, truthful, or compatible.

Respect Consent

Nearence may be used to find dates, relationships, friendships, hookups, and other consensual adult connections.

Finding someone on Nearence does not mean they consent to sexual conversation, explicit material, meeting in person, touching, sexual activity, or anything else.

Respect boundaries.

Stop when someone says no or withdraws consent.

Sexual coercion, threats, stalking, exploitation, and non-consensual activity are prohibited.

Adult-Oriented Content

Nearence permits adult-oriented conversation and non-explicit suggestive profile content.

Examples of content that may generally be acceptable include:

  • shirtless photos;
  • swimwear;
  • underwear or lingerie;
  • suggestive but non-explicit photographs;
  • descriptions of dating or hookup interests; and
  • adult-oriented language between adults.

Context matters, and Nearence may remove content that is primarily intended to circumvent these Guidelines.

Explicit Sexual Content

At this time, Nearence does not permit sexually explicit photographs or videos, including through private messaging.

Prohibited content includes:

  • visible genitals;
  • pornography;
  • explicit depictions of sexual activity;
  • masturbation imagery;
  • close-up explicit sexual imagery; and
  • other content Nearence reasonably determines is pornographic or sexually explicit.

These standards may evolve as Nearence develops. If our rules concerning consensual adult private content change in the future, the current Community Guidelines will control.

Never Allowed

The following are prohibited regardless of whether content is public or private:

  • child sexual abuse or exploitation material;
  • sexualized content involving anyone under 18;
  • non-consensual intimate imagery;
  • secretly recorded sexual content;
  • sexual exploitation or trafficking;
  • credible threats of violence;
  • stalking or targeted harassment;
  • scams, phishing, extortion, or blackmail;
  • doxxing or malicious publication of private information;
  • malware or attempts to compromise another user’s account;
  • impersonation intended to deceive or harm;
  • content promoting unlawful exploitation; and
  • other conduct that creates a serious safety risk.

Harassment

Sexual interest does not excuse harassment.

Do not repeatedly contact someone who has clearly asked you to stop.

Do not threaten, intimidate, shame, blackmail, or pressure another person into sending photos, meeting, having sex, giving you money, or doing anything else.

Private Galleries

If Nearence provides private-gallery functionality, gallery access is controlled by the user who owns the gallery.

Being granted access does not give you permission to redistribute, publish, screenshot for malicious purposes, sell, or otherwise misuse another person’s private content.

Users can revoke gallery access.

Messages

Messages should respect the recipient’s boundaries.

Nearence currently prohibits explicit sexual images in messaging even when both users are adults.

Do not use messages for spam, scams, threats, harassment, exploitation, or unlawful activity.

Nearence may review reported or flagged communications when reasonably necessary for moderation, safety, security, or legal compliance.

Location Safety

Nearence helps people discover others nearby. Treat location information carefully.

Do not attempt to expose another user’s exact location, home address, workplace, or movements without permission.

Do not stalk another person based on information obtained through Nearence.

Privacy features such as Discreet Mode can reduce exposure, but users should still use judgment when sharing identifying information.

Meeting People

You decide whether to meet someone you encounter through Nearence.

Consider meeting somewhere public when first meeting someone, telling a trusted person where you’re going, arranging your own transportation, and avoiding sharing financial or highly sensitive personal information until you are comfortable doing so.

Nearence cannot guarantee another user’s identity, intentions, health status, or behavior.

Events

Nearence may help you discover events happening nearby.

Unless an event is specifically identified as an official Nearence event, it is generally operated by an independent organizer or venue.

Verify event details before attending.

Follow the organizer’s rules and applicable law, respect venue staff and other attendees, and leave situations that feel unsafe.

An event appearing in Nearence does not mean Nearence guarantees or endorses the organizer, attendees, venue, safety, accuracy, or quality of the event.

Commercial Activity and Scams

Don’t use Nearence to run scams, pyramid schemes, phishing campaigns, fraudulent investment offers, or deceptive promotions.

Unauthorized mass solicitation and spam are prohibited.

Nearence may establish separate rules for legitimate businesses, event promoters, venues, or commercial accounts in the future.

Automated Use and Scraping

Don’t use bots, scrapers, crawlers, automated account systems, or other unauthorized tools to collect user information, copy profiles, harvest location information, send mass messages, or interfere with Nearence.

Reporting

If you encounter behavior or content that violates these Guidelines, use Nearence’s available reporting tools or contact:

support@nearence.com

For immediate threats or emergencies, contact the appropriate local emergency authority rather than relying on Nearence as an emergency service.

Blocking

Where blocking functionality is available, you may use it to prevent unwanted interaction with another account.

Blocking is a useful tool but does not replace contacting appropriate authorities when you believe you are in danger.

Enforcement

Depending on the circumstances, Nearence may:

  • remove content;
  • issue a warning;
  • limit account functionality;
  • temporarily suspend an account;
  • permanently terminate an account;
  • preserve relevant records where legally appropriate;
  • prevent creation of replacement accounts; or
  • cooperate with lawful investigations.

Severe violations may result in immediate action without a prior warning.

Changes to These Guidelines

Nearence is still developing, and these Guidelines will evolve with the community and available features.

Appertini LLC may update these Guidelines to address new functionality, safety issues, legal requirements, or community standards.

Material changes will be communicated where appropriate.
